We spent our weekend doing what all families should do this time of year...searching for 'the great egg hunt'.
We went to the local city Easter Egg Hunt...Parker and Andrew got a total of 4 eggs and they were both more interested in the playground equipment at city park than the hundreds of other kids fighting for plastic eggs...
Later on we went with friends to an egg hunt, dinner, and craft time at their church. It was fun, we were with friends, we witnessed our Justin dressed up as the Easter Bunny {Jules, I need some pictures to post of Justin!}, but Brandon didn't go with us...I was toting around a hot toddler and Parker was so excited about being with his buddies that he forgot to do much listening and he was starting to drive this Momma a little bonkers...so bonkers, that I didn't even attempt to get the camera out of the bag.
But then, on Sunday, Palm Sunday, we went to church and that's where we found 'the great egg hunt'.
We attended a great service {and, I do believe it was the first time I took Andrew to the nursery and he didn't cry!}, had tons of kiddos in Children's Church, ate a huge lunch, and then went outside in the 85 degree sunshine to hunt for candy filled eggs, play some games, bounce in the bounce-house and enjoy the company of so many of our church friends.
{Who's ready for an Easter Egg Hunt?!! I am!}
So blessed.
Andrew had his first bounce-house experience! Loved it!
Yep, we found the greatest egg hunt around....Not with some fancy egg drop out of the sky. Not with expensive prizes. Not with millions of people and over-the-top decorations. It was fun and simple...just the way we like it!
Happy Easter my Friends!
