First Day of School

Tomorrow morning Parker has his first day of school. And, while I know he'll do fine on his first day- he knows half of his class, he is very well behaved, and he is VERY excited about it - I am a little nervous about what this is the start of.

Tomorrow is the start of Parker's school life...the friends he makes may be with him through high school (yes, in Ottawa this happens all the time), the way the other kids act will influence Parker's behavior and vice versa, his teachers will give him a structure that will follow him for years, he'll decide whether he prefers arts and crafts or reading better (I already know he'll love 'recess'), and his mind will begin to take shape with a formal education of which will give him (hopefully) the love of learning in school.

Tomorrow Parker will experience something that all kids go through - the first day of school....will he have butterflies in his stomach or will his adrenaline kick in from excitement and he'll be super silly with his classmates?

It seems like just yesterday we were taking pictures of this little guy....



And, tomorrow I'll be posting photos of my baby boy walking up to his first day of school...it's amazing how fast this is all going by (sniffle, tear).
